The equilux is associated with balance - equilux literally meaning “the precise moment when there are exactly 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness.” That sense of opposition is also at the heart of Pilates. We are constantly striving to extend our limbs away from our center, while staying grounded and connected from within.
At EquiLux, our deepest intention is to bring Pilates into your life, or to build onto the practice you already have - in a way that helps you feel strong, aligned and empowered. We want this to be a space where you feel mentally recharged, fully accepted and completely safe.
It’s truly our honor to have you here. Now let’s have fun!
Who we are
Going to Great Lengths to Evolve Your Strength
Tracy Dreiband, Owner
Tracy brings over 35 years of personal Pilates practice and eight years of teaching experience to her sessions. Her journey took a meaningful turn after the first of two knee surgeries, where reformer class not only aided her recovery but also ignited a passion for the practice, ultimately inspiring her to become an instructor.
Tracy is comprehensively trained through Balanced Body, is an AFAA CPT, and holds certifications in Level 2 Stick Mobility, TRX, Barre Above and Yin yoga. She is dedicated to honoring the integrity of each modality she teaches.
Outside of the studio, Tracy lives in Hampstead with her husband and daughter, and is a proud mother and mother-in-law to her son and his wife in Oklahoma City. She also shares her home with two dogs and two cats, and in her free time enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family.
Erin Kellner, Instructor
Erin is a Pilates instructor trained in the contemporary method who brings a supportive and encouraging approach to her teaching, with an emphasis on mindful movement, strength, and body awareness. She is passionate about helping clients feel stronger, more balanced, and confident in their bodies.
Outside the studio, Erin stays busy with her husband and three boys.
Erin Piper, Instructor
Erin attended St. Mary’s College of Maryland where she earned degrees in biology and psychology. She then graduated from Nottingham Trent University in England with a masters in exercise physiology. During her career in clinical exercise physiology she got her Pilates and personal training certifications and has worked with clients of all abilities. She has experience working with cancer patients, menopausal women, pre and postnatal women and osteoporosis.
Erin’s classes are a balance of meeting people where they are while guiding them towards the next level. Erin has been involved in sports most of her life, and played collegiate lacrosse at both universities. Her favorite reformer exercise is the wheelbarrow.
In her free time, Erin enjoys being active, having a good cup of coffee, spending time with family or snuggling her puppies.
