Where is EquiLux located?

We are located at 532 Baltimore Blvd (MD Rt 140) Suite 107, in the brick office building between the Honda dealership and McDonald’s/Olive Garden. Suite 107 is on parking level and may be accessed from either the parking lot or inside the building. We ask that you kindly enter the studio from the hallway inside the building since that’s where shoes, coats and bags will be stowed. There are two entrances to access the hallway. One is located directly to the right of our studio’s glass front, and the other is located to the left at the north end of the building. All entrances are located at ground level.

In the event of an accident or road blockage, alternate routes may allow you to arrive via the roundabout connecting Market St which turns into Center St, Gorsuch Rd, and N Center St. The Old Gorsuch Rd exit off the roundabout will take you to the entry to the McDonald’s which also leads to 532 Baltimore Blvd.

The parking lot is large and well lit with plenty of accessible spaces right in front of our doors as well as general spaces. If you need assistance, please let us know and we will let you in from the glass front doors.

What are the facilities like?

Our small boutique studio offers eight contemporary reformers with towers, one combo chair and one ladder barrel. We have a selection of pads and cushions to support every body.

The semi private restrooms have multiple toilets and are located just outside of EquiLux’s hallway entrance door. There are no shower facilities.

What should I expect when I get there?

Please arrive five-ten minutes prior to class start time.

Please enter our space from the hallway and place all personal belongings in the area by the hallway door.

Check in with the instructor, and let us know if you have any new health related news, or even just an ache or pain that day. We strive to help you get the most out of your time with us effectively and safely. Everyone will fill out a health intake form in our scheduling app before coming to their first class.

Grab anything that may help your session and have it handy for class.

We do not require the use of sticky socks. We know this is a controversial subject! There is so much feedback that can be received from a barefoot practice. We do ask that you kindly wipe your feet first if you came in wearing flip flops or sandals, and we will always have sanitizing wipes on hand if you’d like to wipe down your footbar and loops prior to class start. We ask that you please wipe them down at the end of class as well. Of course sticky socks are welcome if that is your preference!

We do not allow the use of photography during class. Photos are allowed prior to, and after class for those who consent. At the conclusion of class, please wipe down everything your body made contact with. Everyone will have their own disinfectant and cloth.

What happens during inclement weather?

In the event of inclement weather, EquiLux Pilates follows the Carroll County Public School system late openings and closures.

If there is a late opening, please check EquiLux’s schedule for afternoon and evening class cancellations.

Miscellaneous Information

Health

Please use your best judgement when feeling under the weather. We love seeing your beautiful faces but would prefer you stay home when feeling unwell.

Minors

If you would like to bring your teen to class with you (we love this!), they must be age 14 or older. If they are 14-16 you must be present and taking the class with them. Anyone over the age of 16 may come alone but a parent or guardian must sign their waiver.

Waitlist

Our waitlist works like this: If class is full, add your name to the waitlist. Once a spot has been released, everyone on the waitlist will be texted or emailed (your preference) and the first one to secure that spot gets in! This removes being added to a class you may have forgotten you waitlisted for, and then late cancelling (incurring a fee). May the odds be forever in your favor!

Booking & Cancelling

All class bookings and cancellations are to be done by the client on the Recess.tv scheduling tool. EquiLux employees will not schedule classes for clients. It’s not that we don’t want to help you out - we are flowing from one class into another and there are only three of us! We’d hate to miss something and you lose out.

What if I want to take Pilates but don’t have the time?

We will work with you to schedule your classes out two months in advance. That way, you can schedule all of the other wonderful appointments and plans in your life around your Pilates practice!
